Clover is a six week old lamb who was
abandoned by his mother when she gave birth to five babies and couldn't care for them all. Three of her babies died within hours, and she would only allow one of the remaining lambs to nurse, rejecting Clover and trying to push
him away. The farmer didn't have time to care for him and said he would die if someone couldn't take him. Clover was brought
to Poplar Spring where he was placed in a playpen in the house. He was very cold and dehydrated, so he had to be warmed up
and tube fed at first. He is now happy and healthy, still receiving three bottles a day, and now sleeps in a stall in the
barn. He loves to run and jump and play in the grass. He doesn't know he is a sheep yet, and likes to follow people everywhere.
He is slowly being introduced to the adult rescued sheep, who don't quite know what to think about him. Clover is very friendly
and enjoys being petted. His favorite treats are popcorn and small pieces of pear.
